Questions

What counts as a "clone"?
One clone is one full crawl of a URL you paste — the page itself plus all the sub-routes, styles, and assets we pull down to reconstruct it. Re-downloading a clone you've already made doesn't use another credit.
What's the difference between clones and downloads?
A clone is the scraping operation — we go to the internet and build a local copy. A download is every time you export that clone as a zip or push it to GitHub. Free caps downloads at 5 per day so you can share a clone with your team without hitting a limit immediately. Pro has no download ceiling.
Can I upgrade or cancel at any time?
Yes. Upgrading is instant and pro-rated. Cancelling stops your next charge — you keep Pro until the end of the billing period, then drop to Free. No retention calls.
Is what I clone legal to use?
Cloner respects robots.txtand will refuse clones of sites that disallow crawling. What you do with the output is on you — we recommend you only clone sites you own, sites that permit it, or your own existing designs for reference. The tool doesn't strip attribution or license text.
Do unused clones roll over?
No. Monthly quotas reset on your billing date. If you consistently need more than 50 clones, reach out and we'll cook up a Team plan.
Do you offer a team plan?
Not as a self-serve option yet. If you need shared workspaces, SSO, or a higher clone ceiling, email team@cloner.dev.
Is there a student or nonprofit discount?
50% off Pro for verified students and registered nonprofits. Sign up for Pro, then email us a proof of status and we'll apply the credit.
